However, you are comparing chalk with cheese, Chick is jazz the rest are rock. So I'll take you on, having just received the remastered Black Dog/Hammer twoforone from the USA - I'm reminded of Jan Hammer: jazz, jazz rock, rock, jazz funk, electronica, soundtracks, etc, and more influential than Corea. Corea's done jazz, jazzrock and more recently jazz fusion, but I can only think of two rock tunes.

please have in mind that Corea also played in Return To Forever, included in the archives.

Acctualy comparing Corea to the rest of mentioned keyboardist was not intended to show him as superior to them. I just think that many of those great virtuosos are not up to par to most jazz, jazz rock pianist/keyboardist.

Only forgot that the thread is "your favorite keyboardist", not 'the best keyboardist' (whatever does "the best" mean).

Just had to make my statement, though

Dave Stewart

Kit Watkins

Tony Banks

Kevin Moore

Bruce Hornsby

Rick Wakeman can play fast, that's the fact... However his choice of notes/phrases is uniformly boring. At least to my ears that is.
