Well, the reason is bribing & game fixing. Especially Juventus was very active with this. They "bought" victories from other teams, and also bought referees to fix the games. Everything came out only a few months before the world cup.

Juventus and the other teams have bribed certain referees and then affected the selection of referees so that these certain referees are in their matches. At least that's how I've understood it. The players haven't been accused of anything.

It's good that these scumbags get what they deserve. How AC Milan escaped the bigger punishments is beyond me though, could be because of Berlusconi? Dead

It's all a little odd when you remember that the guy widely acknowledged to be the best referee in Europe (although now retired) came from Italy......I'm ashamed to say I've forgotten his name, but you know who I mean, the bald guy....Embarrassed

Ahhh, Real Madrid got lucky. They landed Cannavaro and Emerson for about 20 Million Euros, what a bargain!

IMO, Juventus should have upped the ante, and cannavaro would have probably himself generated 10 million pounds

Why the hell did Nedved choose to stay?

If I was a Juve player, I would just leave and hope Juve get skint. Imagine winning two championships, then finding out they were cheated. The fans and the players were both absolutely f**ked over by the club.

Why would he want to be loyal?

That's like staying loyal to a girlfriend who's cheated on you 21 times.

Amazing that the point deductions were reduced for Milan, meaning they are now going to play in the CL, I believe they should not be able to......

Shows Silvio's influence.

I knew I hated football for all its rottenness, but in Italy this really takes the cake!

Worst part is that Juventus' resigning coach had forecasted this would end in general laughter. I guss he the rotten one should know just how deep this rot was!!!

^ ok, stop the fight

News from Greece: Olympiakos is trying hard to sign Ze Roberto (it is rumoured that the proposal is 7 M euros for 3 years)

the thing gets complicated now that Milan will play in Ch League Quals. (it is rumoured that they also want him)

if Ze comes in Greece, we will have a trio of Latin - Bazil - Sampa

Rivaldo, Julio Cesar (former Real Madrid player, just signed) and Ze...
