You are joking, right?

Please tell me this is a troll, so I can laugh

^ oh, come on...

eventhough Mustaine is not very much respected by many people, Megadeth's music is thrashy in most of the albums

You're right - it was a hit single, I remember.

My copy was a bit odd - you had to put the needle in the centre of the record, and it played outwards...

^ yes, I remember that Megadeth got a bit of airplay back then ... I also remember videos on MTV of Symphony of Destruction and Foreclosure of a Dream. But I doubt that these songs were really regarded as "pop" ... rather it was a time when metal generally received more attention by the media. Those were the times ... long gone.CryWink

Sure - why not? They'll be refused like the other metal bands that were considered before them.

I don't see why Judas Priest shouldn't receive serious consideration as prog metal related - their early material was probably the most progressive that metal got in the 1970s, and is without doubt the root for a huge amount of Prog metal.

4 words: "Sad Wings of Destiny".

^ but it's true ... back in the early 90s there was a short phase when Metal (Thrash/Power/Death) was actually considered to be trendy and cool. The Beavis & Butthead era ... Wink

SeriouslyGeek.

Put on "Sweating Bullets" and mince around the room.

See how poppy it sounds now!

Mmmm... Beavis and Butthead... Headbanger's Ball... primary school... Metallica... Megadeth... Kreator... the sinful thrill of buying Slayer's 'Reign in Blood' (I was actually afraid of playing it) and finding it boring on first listen... still finding it boring after 13 yearsTongue.

Re Megadeth's proginess, that Manunkind character said it all; must be one damn smart fellow anyway, and probably good-looking, as wellWink.
