I did listen to that La Coscienza album again, Sam, I like it more, but I still find that gushing vocalist a little grating, despite how terrific his voice is! He still makes me think of that Locanda della Fate album, and you know my feelings on that one!

I may listen to Roach's `Delicate Beyond' again tonight, I forget how that extended disc sounds compared to the version on `The Delicate Forever'. I've still barely listened to those two bonus discs that come with the `Structures of Silence' box set, should add that to the pile too! I don't recall them sounding much like the original album, but they're fine ambient/electronic peices on their own.

It became less grating with more spins, I got used to his voice and appreciate the instrumental parts more, including some interesting stuff that happens while he sings Smile I know, the third track is especially sweet... maybe too much Tongue

I didn't listen to TDF yet, I want to listen to it more attentively Wink It's really good, quite dark but sometimes, when you least expect it, there's a glimpse of light Approve

Yesterday:
John Coltrane - Ascension
dreamweapon - s/t
Santana - s/t

Oh, wait, I'm confused! So you bought both `The Delicate Forever' and the companion `Delicate Beyond' disc?

Man I love that Santana album! The best, more ambitious stuff was yet to come, but it's a superb album all the same.

Sorry, the description I wrote was about the bonus CD of Structures. Yes, I have both.

I wanted to listen to it for quite some time and I heard it thanks to your FB post Smile

Oh, so that was the first time hearing the Santana debut? Hope you enjoyed! It always puts me in a great mood!

I'm about to put an order in for the next round of Steve Roach discs. I need to catch up on not only `Etheric Imprints' (which is superb, probably his deepest work since `The Delicate Forever'), but in abiout a week Projekt Records is putting out a box-set of all four volumes of his `Bloodmoon' releases - approach with caution perhaps?!

I really enjoyed the album Thumbs Up

Cool, let me know how it turns out. I hope the most recent Bloodmon volumes are better than the first ones Tongue I don't think I'll buy others for now, especially after paying customs a considerable amount of money to get the package Ouch

Put it this way, Sam. My most recent Syn-Phonic order has just come to $344 US dollars - use the online currency converter and see how wallet-crippling that was turned out to be for me in Australian dollars! Our Aussie dollatr has dropped so much in the last couple of months.

Oh, yeah, freaking Paypal also drops the dollar even more and takes their cut - so much to look foward to!

Caricatures - killer album!

I always felt that second `English Electric' was far superior to the first one, Tom, and I seem to remember you thought the same as well? It's very sedate and mellow, but it's not quite as in thrall to Genesis as the first one?

By the way, apparently Greg's next newsletter is any day now, so more money to spend!
