Yeah, only after he tried to throw his daughters under the bus, and then texts from his wife were revealed showing they left for Cancun because their power was out. But yeah, half-as*ed apology from a half-as*ed political hack.

Sure, in the same way some guy with his pants around his ankles at Disney Land acknowledges he made a mistake as the cops descend on him. "Yeah, ya know...as I thought about it I realized that maybe this wasn't a good idea, but hey, I had them down already and well, my daughters wanted to go to Disney Land, but ya know I only had them down for a little while"
Putz !

I don't know. A picture of a dog looking out of a windows isn't all that horrific, unless you want it to be. That collage is pretty obnoxious, seeing as it's completely open to any interpretation. Nasty, even. Anyone can see anything in it, and I find that's a problem here.

The story, according to social media accounts, is that Cruz left the dog behind in the frozen house while he and kids jetted off to Mexico. I don't know if it's true, but I wouldn't put it past him.
PS: I believe the house photo with the dog was taken by a news reporter looking to see if Cruz really fled the state.

The question that should be asked is...Who was left at the house with the dog that Ted thought could stand the cold he and his family couldn't?
What a dick !

An Eskimo? Can Eskimos immigrate, or are they just a sort of cold Mexican?

Not sure how this fits in to all that happened that day in DC ,but it seemed prescient to me: "There is a cult of ignorance in the US and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding it's way through our political and cultural life; restored by the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."
-Isaac Asimov (died 1992) (surely written long before he passed away)

He wrote the three laws of robotics...wish he'd have written the three laws of politics.
1 - A Politician must cause no harm to the public at large. 2 - A Politician must enact the will of the people except where it conflicts with the first law. 3 - A Politician must act to protect the office they hold except where it conflicts with either of the first two laws.

Politicians would simply ignore these laws as they do all the other ones

Well, Joe Biden is all set to sign his 2 trillion dollar Covid relief bill and the Republicans are calling it a disater in Congress while telling thier constituents how good it will be for them. Amazing but not surprising.

^ Yes. Certainly one of most laughable things I saw yesterday, was one senator (I think from Mississippi, but I could be wrong) going on twitter proclaiming about the things in the bill that will benefit Mississippi (or whatever state it was), but obviously he voted against it. We really are dumb here.

I just heard former right wing politician Trey Gowdy on Fox yammering on about how he hasn't seen any of this unity that Biden was talking about in his inauguration speech. I guess he hasn't seen the polls that say around 75% of the American public think Bidens relief package is a good thing. That sound pretty unifying to me. Meanwhile...F#cker Carlson is running his dumb @ss mouth about women in the military.
It really is astounding.

I don't know why Carlson would complain about women in the military. He'd be someone's b*tch in the barracks.
