Ah - you're an engineer. Good luck finding girls in that field. Not to say they don't exist, but the guy/girl ratio in engineering schools is pretty high.
Oh, and what field of engineering are you going into? Do you know?

it's 5:1 :( but traditionally the engineering students pair up with the nursing students, who have a similar (but opposite) ratio and plus are capable of taking care of us when we get alcohol poisoning
first year is "general," we don't choose a field here until 2nd year, once we sort of know more about them all. I'm thinking electrical or mechanical

Should go nuclear.

Jon- Hey PSG, I'm a nuclear engineer. Can I study your atomics? PSG- *slap*

The nursing students get paired up with the engineers during orientation? Sweet.

well, no, not exactly although we did spend some time with them What I meant is that the two just sort of gravitate towards each other. The fact that both of them will understand the amount of homework the other has probably also plays a part

That's... interesting. I could see the premed students doing that.
And yeah, it seems like my class load is a helluva lot bigger than everyone else's.

mine is actually not as bad as I expected. I don't start until 1:00 on mondays and fridays, and am dome by 4:00 both days. tues-thurs I have 8am labs, though, and wednesday I go 8am-9pm (with lots of breaks that aren't quite long enough to be useful) I've also got at least 2 hours lunch every day. It should be tolerable, at least

Mmm, mine isn't bad either, but I have a lot of space between each class every day (at least 1.5 hours), so my schedule is really spaced out. I'm only taking 15 credits but it still seems like everyone else taking 13 has like 4 classes less than I do.
