I remember when Wally Amos was selling little bags of his homemade cookies every day in L.A. and along the west coast   They were amazing, nothing like the stuff in the stores now (though those aren't bad).

No more than now but it was all real ingredients, brown sugar, molasses, vanilla, pecans--  but it was something about how they were made back then; I think he was using his grandma's recipe, but once he sold it, it started going down hill.
