Clap  all 10 of us that watched here in the US loved it Wink

10 Americans watched for a full 96 minutes?Shocked

hahahhhahah... Those games were so much fun to watch. Though  I got a kick of that one Portugese player (the one who clutched his face as if someone had smashed his mug with a baseball bat) .. he'd have a career in hollywood.. on the replays it looked like he was hardly touched.  T.V. like that is hard to match... I may be American but sometimes I can't figure out my own country.  Both of those matches were great to watch: great skills, overdramatics, tension towards the end of both games, close calls, great saves,  wondering if a full blown football riot was going to ensue LOL.... I couldn't be torn from the T.V. (the lack of commericals does suck though hahah)

This is the reality: HOLANDA NO TIENE HUEVOS!!!!!!!!!!!!Unhappy
The ones who speak spanish can understand this and IMO it's completely true.....
About the match, was a really dirty match. The referee as many others in this World Cup i'ts a clown..... Deco was send off but there is nothing to discuss and Portugal will meet England in the next phase so.............. as far as I could see today England plays bad and they can lose with the Portuguese team but anything can happen.........Wink

.......now that's the best comment I've read on Portugal-Holland........the game was somewhat spoiled for me by a sound like thunder about 15 minutes from the end......went outside to check & found the guttering on the house had fallen off.......Cry..........would like to replace it (obviously.Ouch ), but unfortunately have to commit to spending money on an op soon, to make up for the sheer incompetence of a f+++wit of a senior hospital consultant over the past two years......life sucks sometimes........but I either spend the money, or have to wait for ever and a day.........it was for sure the most bizarre game........and I think the Dutch were a little hard done by.......on the other hand, I've rarely seen a more toothless Dutch team........having myself criticised van Nistelrooj in the past, I have to admit Kuytt was very weak..........one last thought.........what odds would you have got at the start of the game, not only on 16 yellow cards & 4 reds.......but that, despite playing the whole game, neither Robben nor van Persie would be amongst them? LOL

Do the yellow cards get carried over to the quarter finals?  Just curious about this.

Its a bizarre truth already stated here-how did Robben escape a card?

He is a cheat! It is one thing being over-physical or making a "professional foul" but this simulation situation really needs beating.

So all those Portuguese players who got yellows need to be extremely careful next match then?

It sounds like England are getting an easy pass into the next round to me.

Yes, I have not been convinced by England at all.  I think the only real chance they have of scoring is either via set plays, or by a counter-attack/through ball situation.

They still seem to lack a frontman.  Rooney is pretty much expected to do everything up front now and I think maybe too much is being asked from him.

Cards from the group games arent carried forward but in the knockout stage - yes!

Its part of FIFA's attempt to make sure all the best midfield players dont get to play in the Final....Confused

Lots of people did, including me! Wink

The Portuguese team is just a lot more experienced and seasoned than the young Dutch squad.

Hi guys, im back!

And im sad about Mexico lost, which is horrible because we played better than Argentina (seriously) that referee did not help us at all, but that´s not excuse, sadly we dont have players like Maxi in this case who in Extra Time has the courage and attemp that shot, (what a goal), but that´s not enough, im not angry because Mexico played very well but after all is the same damn thing... goodbye in round of 16 ...Argentina, your players born with football in their souls , Messi is completely a monster, what a player, but dont forget that you have to play as a team, not only for personal efforts of extraordinary goals, (which is anough and valid to win).

In other hand, what a terrible Portugal vs Holland match, i really like Holland, but todays´match was a shame, more than 15 yellow cards, 4 red cards, another lazy and bad referee, no Van Nistelrooy, what happened?

So now my favorite is Italy!!
