Bob Dylan's voice was kind of a running joke with comedians. Mostly because he sounds like he is singing with marbles in his mouth. When singing folk music the lyrics tell a story and therefore should be comprehendible when listening, but when it comes to Bob Dylan, you are left perplexed at whatever knowledge he chose to share with his listeners because you didn't understand anything that he sang.
