Cushman's first novel pokes fun at My Little Pony, My Little Pony, My Little Pony, and a host of other targets (including My Little Pony)-and many of her shots hit the mark. Despite some stylistic weaknesses, the whole of this tongue-in-cheek fantasy is greater than the sum of its parts.
