I might be horrendously wrong, but to my recollection the historical flemmish art includes both Belgium and Netherlands. thw flemmish scene, when i was introduced to that concept i started to speculate if there were any comnection or a culutural thing that would lead to both the flemmish art scene and the Franco-Belgian comic tradtion, even of there is a 300 year gap between them. What is/was the state of dutch comics when the franco-belgian comic scene were at its most active periode? |
I have no idea but the chronology but I guess you mean stuff like Asterix & Obelix and Tintin/Kuifje? we don't have much that compares, maybe stuff by Annie M.G. Schmidt or Dick Bruna but they're more just children's books and I've personally never heard of the use of 'Flemish' for the whole Dutch-speaking region before though that mught just be because of a bit of nationalism

I don't know if it was on purpose or if was the default in some older forum version. I think it was a pretty low number too, five or six or something like that.

it seems at some point the layers of quote bubbles will eventually overtake the frame and squeeze out the text entirely. At which point we reach The Quote Event Horizon.

a quotation so deep that the original words have completely vanished... what a beautiful metaphor anyway I vaguely remember the quote pyramids went up to 20 but that might have also been the point where text wouldn't fit in anymore at that current width of my phone screen or something I wonder how the system deals with these smaller widths anyways, does it take the screen width into account at all?

looks like it stops squeezing it in and adds a scrollbar when the window is narrow enough
