What a weird sport, where a team can go on a 60-minute power play and score as often as possible (which sadly in soccer doesn't mean very often). I think that I'll take my two-minute power plays in hockey over that any day. And in the end the game gets decided by shooting fish in a barrel. |
What will also confuse you will be that there is more than one nation playing in a team competition!

Germany weren't very convincing today, picking a winner of this tournament is a crapshoot everyone has faults

This World Cup has so many upsets... Who thinks a new champion will be crowned here? Colombia looks really good. Belgium looks good and maybe even the US..... I just don't want Brazil to win it.

I don't want Germany to win it as they've already won too many I don't want Brazil to win it as they are a limited one player team with too much hype I don't want Argentina to win it because I still haven't forgotten the hand of god I don't want Holland to win it because - Robben
I'm in two minds about the USA, I live in the USA and cheer the team but their fans would make it insufferable for an Englishman living here.
I'd take France as they have 3 Newcastle players in their line-up (yes I'm still counting Cabaye) I'd take Belgium for Univers Zero, Aranis & Present I'd take Colombia as they just seem to be having fun I'd take Costa Rica but it ain't gonna happen

I hope so then England can boast they held the World Champions to a draw! (We've got b*gger all else to boast about). Despite the fact that for some reason I find Neuer incredibly irritating, he was brilliant acting as sweeper behind the exposed German defence last night.
