What's this now?

I wonder if it's possible to ask for a version of the mix with the guitar solo tracks taken out so you can record your own over the top
|
I thought you meant he was actually doing that.
|
No, I wish he did though. Seriously, after listening to the album some more, the only reason why it's not the most perfect album of 2007, is the guitar solos, everything else is perfect about that album. Steven Wilson, great song writer, producer, rhythm guitarist. But oh man, he needs to learn his limits and not play guitar solos. Honestly, I know 17 year old kids that can write better guitar solos than him. His solo on the title track, makes me cringe, it sounds like it was recorded in one take and just a bad improvisation I just wish he would have got Mikael Akerfeldt to do guest lead guitar.

All right... good night guys. I'm sleepy.
And I gotta go flagellate myself for having just loved a hair metal song on last.fm (and actually loving it).
Take care of yourselves!

Actually, I don't. I've wanted it for a long time though. I think that will be one of the first things I get once 2009 comes and I sort through all this extra music crap I haven't gone through yet. I have a pile of stuff I just haven't gotten around to sorting or anything yet, and it's intimidating.

OK... with enough beer, I can drink all night.
My pecker is only good for like 15 minutes.

Yeah, but speaking from a girl's perpective, you can add a good 30 minutes (at least) to sex if you know how to use your tongue right |
Definitely. Foreplay is the best part.

To be frank, I thought Steven Wilson's solos were among the worst guitar solos in prog for 2007 releases. What does annoy me perhaps even more though, is Akerfeldt's lack of recognition of a soloist. He gets known as a song writer and rhythm player and his soloing is sooooo overlooked. He has written some of the best solos I've ever heard in my life. Steven Wilson sounds like a beginner when he plays solos..........Akerfeldt sounds like a true professional, with serious class.

Was the Esoteric band you saw with Guapo a doom metal band? Because unless it was (and I doubt it was), then it was a different Esoteric.

Same band. Unless there are two doom metal bands with that name. They sorted sounded like Agalloch only worse.
