GRATEFUL DEAD - "American Beauty" (1970)

The 5th studio album. I can't stand country music but this album's good anyway.

Can best be described as Siouxsie Sioux fronting The Birthday Party, though not on anywhere as much heroin as the latter. I love how it combines this reflective fog-and-neon classy film noir darkness with really noisy guitar playing and spidery bass lines.
