In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the oscillators. Then when you get the oscillators, then you get the women.

Yeah, but most people in their senior year aren't 3 years away from legally being able to drink...

Halfway through my 4 days of 9-10 hr workdays. It's alrigh, but man would I really like an IT job or something where I can sit down and do intelligent stuff. Standing for 8.5 hours (like tomorrow yay) is going to suck. On the plus side, I learned how to to patch stuff in the ProTools HD setup at school. I'll only be there 2 hours tomorrow but 8 on Thursday. Imma track stuff while on the clock. :)))
You haven't been working retail long enough if that still bothers you. After about 3 months I stopped noticing it, although yeah my feet and legs hurt at the beginning. When I was in Oxford/London all the other people there were complaining about all the walking, and I just laughed. I did pretty much all the touristy stuff in London in just a few days because I was alone and I could go hard. Although I have gotten soft lately because I get to sit for about an hour or so at the end of the night doing all the money stuff.

ALL OF MY HATE

(bump)

If there's one thing I don't understand, never will, and will be forever angry at it for existing, it's to societal and overwhelming majority of womens' expectations to receive jewelery at pivotal moments. I mean, anything else, at all! Something with usefulness. You want me to show you I care about you to the price of $2,000? I'll buy you anything but a useless hunk of carbon to weigh down your finger.
It's amazing how the jewelry industry has ingrained that so much into society. I also feel that way, but I have a feeling that unless you are poor, your wife will be defending you being "cheap" to her girlfriends for the rest of her life. But by the time either of us get married they'll probably have even more awesome synthetic diamonds available, she doesn't have to know...

The legality of the matter doesn't stop most people here from drinking.  Surprisingly enough, a good chunk of the kids on my floor this year don't drink.  That's a first.

I love the taste of beer and whisky far too much to not drink.  Don't even care about getting drunk

It doesn't stop the dozens of teens who manage to wrap themselves around trees every year either.

Of course a lot of 19 year olds in college drink, but I'm assuming people drink more once they're legal, unless growing out of immature binge drinking outweighs normal alcohol consumption I'm not sure.  And most people are legal somewhere around their junior/senior year. I was just pointing out that Alex should be saying he is 19 and in college and he doesn't drink, the actual year he's going to graduate doesn't really matter.

Eh JJ, I think everybody in this thread could have graduated that early if we knew for sure what we wanted to major in and if we weren't so damn lazy. Doing well in school is much more a matter of effort than innate intelligence.
