A variation of the "Crostini nieri", wich is made with smashed chicken liver, chopped olives, a bit of garlic, red wine and nutmeg. So beautiful. You should see my girlfriend walking around the kitchen while I'm preparing those... like a hungry shark waiting for me to get dictracted by something, in order to be able to steal a bit of the fill. There is also that one with blue cheese, mushrooms, sparragus and bacon. I heard once that in it's place of origin, Toscana, if I remember correctly, it is impossible to find two Crostinis tasting the same. Edited by cuncuna - January 17 2007 at 13:19 |

I have several recipes, but lately, I've been more in the mood of improvising, depending of what flavours I'm thinking off. Again, Mercedes (girlfriend, healthy apetite) has a lot to say about this, since sometimes she thinks about combinations of things that we have in the kitchen. |
