James will need loads of that . England is a poor team, maybe even poorer than the Dutch team.

How easy the Germans can get it?
Well, a few examples:
- The weakest poule and no early afternoon hot sun games
- A mediocre opponent in the second round with a blundering defence
- After half an hour the Swedish were eliminated to 10 men (red cart)
- Sweden missed a penalty
- The Swedish top forward players from Juventus (Ibrahimovic) and Barcelona
(Larsson) played like tired old men
The real tests will be games against Argentina and (if they remain so lucky) Italy and in the final against Brasil. But, I repeat, I will eat my shoes if the Germans are able to defeat Argentina, I cannot imagine
|
The swedish, were a strong team, which became quite unstable. The Germans had an amzing tactic in the beginning, which simply destroyed the whole defence system, 2 goals must have fallen until the swedisch changed it.
Argentinia playes really bad at the moment and in their own half they can be defeated very easily. If the passes of the Mexicans have been better thought they probably would have shot more goals.
So Germany is a strong team, much better than before the world cup, with the ability to alienate their opponents and with a good tactic management, which is able to beat the opponents policy.

Wow, Erik. I can't imagine how much you must hate Germans to give such
an opinion about (maybe) the strongest performance of any team in this
world cup.
Klose the best player of this world cup? Probably.

Not really, Klose sucks at passing over long distances and is yet a bit weaker in finish, the pass yesterday was nothing really amazing...he watched podolski running and played it to him with his heel.

Very exciting game from Argentina and Mexico last night - Argentina kept the Mexican goalkeeper very busy indeed - 26 shots at goal apparently! |
So you didn't watch the game? 26 shots?!? Official statistics say 5 shots on goal.

I thought last night's game between Mexico & Argentina was one of the best games I've seen so far in this year's World Cup. Yes, Argentina did not play as well as they perhaps should have, but the goal by Maxi in overtime was one of the most incredible I've ever seen. It was a very exciting match indeed.

I am beginning to feel the tension in my stomach now. We should win,but I know we wont.......please not a penalty shoot-out! Ok excuses at the ready: it's too hot. Rooney's injury after 54 mins was the end for us The ref should not have sent off Rooney/Robinson/Beckham/ (delete as appropriate) Their 3 goals were off-side. We tired in the 2nd Half We never really got going in the first half. We are hopeless at penalties We are hopless. Sven is not tactically astute We were unlucky The ref was biased The grass was too long The ball is too light Owen Hargreaves is... Owen Hargreaves isnt... Owen was not here.

If England lose I am going to stalk each forum section deleting all Ecuadorian members with extreme prejudice....... ...or maybe I'll just post loads of moans and excuses in this thread... But I nominate Snow Dog as an honorary citizen of Ecuador
