I'm going to start working on it later today, I think.

I know what it is, don't you worry.

Will I need to remember some dates?

Hmm... maybe. I probably wouldn't ask more than a few questions concerning any of that though.

I'm not sure yet. I'll have to see how my questions turn out.

Great song. Thumbs Up

Though I prefer the one that goes:

DIG ME
BUT DON'T...

BURY ME

Soon, yep! I'm not going to start it now though... I'll go eat some lunch in a few minutes here and then do a thing or two; and then I'll work on it I think.

Mm... two hours sleep last night... thankfully, the worst exam (Plato) is now gone from my life Big smile unless I do something daft like study classics at uni Ouch, my most formidable cram-revision has once again proved relatively effective, and I've got a lot more insight into British politics today out of yesterday's electidon... Confused... still, emptied a cafetiere overnight and another two cups in the morning... bleagh... not enough coffee in my coffee.

Correct, members of the Labour, Conservative, Green, Liberal Democrat (well, to a lesser extent, they're so crazy I love them), SNP, Plaid Cymru and British National Parties... and I really don't get the crazy proportional representation/constituencies thing they're trying here... votes still wasted, gives local parties an edge over national ones and lets in fringe parties.... you could at least cut it down to one of those.

UKIP are also not as innocent as people think.  Nigel Farage comes across as an arrogant Tory-like idiot to me.  Plus they've had what?  3 members in prison?

A lot of people I know want out of Europe and want a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty.  The tories just want the latter, so how did they get so many votes?

I understand why UKIP did though but they don't have the same views as I do, hence why I didn't vote for them.

Labour - pro-Europe and don't want a referendum
Tories - pro-Europe, do want a referendum
UKIP - anti-Europe, do want a referendum but they're right-wing
Lib Dem - pro-Europe
Green - wishy-washy but pro-Europe
BNP - need I even mention their right-wing racism?
Plaid Cymry - no idea on their policies
SNP - same as PC above
Socialist Labour Party - anti-Europe, want a referendum and also want to Nationalise, rather than privatise - my kind of party Big smile

Didn't vote. Neither did around 75% of my country.

No, I shouldn't have. The circumstances were dreadful, it would have made me look like a superficial citizen, voting just for the act of voting.

I talked about the political situation in my country a few days ago.

Everyone's a pig - no political morals, no political strong principles, and while the goverment ruines everything by the day, the opposition is no different.

The election campaign was bogus. One party said "don't vote with the other party", the other party said "let us make the world pink together" and the third big party talked about the soil of our grandfathers, referring to the agriculture. Except that, this was a national, indirectly presidential pre-campaign, with not a hint of tangency with the real campaign, concerning the EU.

The only party that didn't make a big campaign fuss won, surprisingly, 8% and is thus sending to the EU their ultra-nationalist leader and a soccer team president extrrravaganza celebrity, neither nowhere near adequate for a europarlamentary seat.

50% of the population has no idea what they're voting for. They're make it a headline every time there's an election, asking people from villages to urban middle-classes: 1 out of 5 answer ridiculously: "we're voting for the president!", "I don't know who I'm voting, leave me be", "dunno, but we're going to vote anyway, we always have". At the question: "what's the parliament's location" - "Bucharest!" or, if you're at a remote village: "the local counsil!!". Uninformed, and thus just used for the voting stamp, the population is clueless, almost every single time, and most especially now, when it's Europe at matter, and not Romania.

So my vote doesn't count one bit. They're all the same and nothing will change. I've decided to use my right not to vote.

You know, all those people who are against Europe should try a taste of immigration here in the US... They have NO IDEA of how lucky they are to be able to move around 27 countries without having to deal with any of the crap I've had to put up with. Nationalism is poison, if we need any further proof after WWII...

On the other hand, I understand that the EU also means a lot of red tape, stupid laws, etc. etc. However, people should NEVER, ever forget that the same countries that are now part of the EU were waging war against each other less than 70 years ago... Are we really sure we want to go back to that time? It seems that some doUnhappy.
