Anaïd is better than La Grande Formation.
It's a fact.

Clap I liked Anaid quite a bit too.

GF isn't bad though. Just not comparable to Anaïd. Great indeed.

Not like that band, Perhaps Contraption WinkTongue

Hey now, i liked what I heard of them a lot. Reminded me a bit of Mr. Bungle.

agreed. Do you by any chance know of Dan Deacon?

Heard of, but that's it. What's the best place to start?

I think Bromst is his best work, though Spiderman of the Rings is good too. It's a whole bunch of electronic sounds layered on top of one another to make a really noisy and beautiful whole. Another one of my favorites in the genre.

Indeed. If I had the funds I'd get Perhaps Contraption's debut album, but as it stands right now, there will be no buying of music for a little while.

Exchange Perhaps Contraption with *insert band I want albums from here* and replace "debut album" with *insert album name here* and you sound exactly like me.

Alex, have you had a chance to listen to that Fromuz song Parallels yet that I recommended to you.  http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=66257&PN=1  I was thinking that it sounded like YYZ, but artguyken is saying that that is only the beginning.  Can you give it a listen and see if you can hear what I am hearing? Maybe it is a different Rush song that I am hearing them play.

Bah, I haven't yet, but I'll do that now.

Woah, that is definitely YYZ-influenced. I heard it right away.

What do you think?

That advertisement came up on top of the page, and I thought the title was juvenile but funny.
