If you dig this band, I'd strongly advise you to get the rest of their output. They didn't make a single dud imho. My fave is probably Iskander, but either of the two you've got, or their wondrous ballet soundtrack Pudding en Gisteren, are faves as well. As is the much maligned Spiral Staircase that often gets mentioned as a watered down Zappa album, which is as far from the truth as you can possible get. Super band that Supersister! Highly super indeed!

Iskander sounds tempting! Cheers David. And agreed, superduper band. The rhythm section really impresses me (how old were these guys at the time?), and the rest of the band is great too.

They formed back in 1968 under the name of Sweet Ok Sister, and that was during their school days, so I guess they must've been just around 20, when the debut came out. Robert Jan Stips is from 1950 if I remember correctly.

Oh and Iskander is definitely worth getting. I'm very biased though, I love the avantguarde fusion touches it's full of - plus a huge fan of Charlie Mariano, who is along for this album onlyEmbarrassed

I've read reviews where they say some members were like, 16-17 or something at the time of the debut, I wasn't sure about that, 20 sounds more realistic.

Cool. Sounds interesting!

^ Love this album! Wyatt's drumming is simply brilliant.
