(dirty social science includes economics btw). Specifically, I have a math major and an economics and music double minor with the interest of getting a masters in economics. Economics mainly just because it's a compromise between competing interests (math, philosophy, and being able to provide for myself and possibly a family doing intellectually challenging work without having to remain in academia). Though the philosophy component is oft forgotten in today's practice. I considered Economics as a major, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to go all in, so I chose math as a pretty good all around Bachelor's that gives me some other options for grad school.

New development: state will be going into full quarantine on Friday, so I am getting some recording done with some folks before we lose the chance to finish a project we're working on (it will be one on one with plenty of distance). In conjunction with classes, that might interfere with my ability to participate tomorrow. I should be available on Friday.

that makes sense, wouldn't your master have to be more specifically maths-related then though?

an hour earlier would also be fine by me theoretically...
