I've been waiting for this. ClapClapClapClap

Remind me though. I'm too out of it to make a list tonight. I'll do it sometime over my Winter Break probably.

I tried making a list last time and it ended up sucking so I quit.  I'll try again for this round.

Yep.

But I let her borrow an Ayreon album for a while longer, 'cause she likes them. LOL

Although I doubt she's listened to it.

We're still friends and she's just been (or still is) on Egypt.  It was her birthday on the 10th and I know she was in Egypt for it.

I best find out if she's back yet and go and see her.  We actually get on better now. LOLEmbarrassed

That's good.  I always meant to get an Ayreon album, but now I think I don't want to.  LOL

Definitely not.

Allman Bros. Band mostly perform their new material and play a few of their older tracks, like Whippin' Post and some others.

But it's mostly their current material.  Which, by the way, is wonderful.  There's a few proggy tracks too.

Listen to "Instrumental Illness".

It's a brilliant track!

Allmans pwn Skynyrd.

Late '70s and '80s Allmans wasn't as good.  It's all about Duane Allman and Berry Oakley Jr. era and also their live material.  Live they are fantastic.

I love current AMM too, they have one of the best lineups of any band in the world.

Two drummers (both original members)
A terrific bassist
Warren Haynes = one of the best blues and slide guitarists in the world
Derek Trucks = the best slide guitarist in the world
Plus Gregg Allman on keyboards, of course.

OH MY EFFING GOD!!!! Shocked
Derek Trucks if so AWESOME!!!

Didn't even know about him until last May when I went to see Santana. I was completely blown away. Seriously, people can diss Santana all they want, but him and Trucks jamming together on stage was da sh*t!!!!

Santana is a wonderful soloist he just made bad choices recently with his musical direction (in my opinion).

'70s Santana was great.

But yes, Derek Trucks is wonderful.  One of my favourites in fact.  You need to hear current Allman Brothers Band, they'll blow you away.

Santana, good note choice..........absolutely horrible vibratoDead which means I can't listen to more than a few songs before it hurts my ears.

Derek Trucks on the other hand is a technically brilliant musician, always in control.

In fact, Instrumental Illness is probably on YouTube 'cause they released a DVD about 3 or 4 years back and it was on it.

THE is the one I like the most but I've still let her borrow it for a while longer.

"Jessica" is one of my favorite instrumentals by anyone - a lot of that has to do with great memories of dancing around to it when I was a little kid, when my father was playing Brothers and Sisters.

Except it's used for a BBC show called Top Gear over here... so it got overkill.

I prefer "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" myself.

Know what's a sweet PM band I haven't heard in a while?  Ark - Burn the Sun.  I love that record!

That sucks (the overkill).  You rarely hear it here, even on classic rock radio.
