I just went into that recent Dream Theater thread.
And realized how much less and less over time I enjoy Octavarium and Systematic Chaos.
It has gotten to the point where the only song I truly enjoy off Octavarium is The Root Of All Evil.

You are insane.
I like to hear a band get truly better at that they are doing.
Systematic Chaos does not show that at all.
By now, the band is capable of probably some truly insanely experimental music with a whole orchestra.
Instead on SC, we get formulaic "widdly wee" solos from Rudess, and arghh, just an unspiring.


GODDAMN, PUT YOUR GODDAMN MUSICAL TRAINING TO USE YOU FOOLS AND DO SOMETHING THAT WILL BLOW MY MIND!
STOP WASTING YOUR FREAKING TALENT!
