Never liked Nirvana.
Was (and still am) a fan of Alice In Chains and Soundgarden though.

Wow. Then I'm the exact opposite of you. I've always loved Nirvana but AiC and SG wore off on me fairly quickly. May need to dig up an old Nirvana album one of these days...

Why do you call him that? LOL

Cuz that's what he is.

The Beatles are almost exclusively the only thing he listens to. I think he owns one Megadeth album though, but I've never heard it.

Oh, okay.

I must be one of the few people who just has never found the appeal of the Beatles.

Megadeth... meh. I'd rather have Metallica, and I don't even like them that much at all.

Oh, I see the appeal of the Beatles, especially the late stuff, but I mean... get over it. There are other bands in the world.

Actually, after 7 years of bashing him over the head with Queen, he actually borrowed some best-ofs from me... and then he only listens to Bohemian Rhapsody, on repeat, that's it, in his car. At least it's a change, for a while, then it's back to the Beatles.

I really got screwed over that whole deal...  Wink when I met him, I really thought he was a music fan, but truly, he isn't.

And whatever I put on, he says it's country, and even worse, he calls Tom Waits Krusty

I always thought the Beatles were overrated personally.
A fair amount of their legacy is only tangentially related to music if you look at it overall.

So I'm guessing here I can safely say that I think the Kinks were actually better than the Beatles? Tongue

I don't really like either one, but I agree with you that they're better.

My favourite Beatles' album is actually George's All Things Must Pass Smile  (right, not quite Beatles)

My Beatles familiarity is so bad; I don't even own an album of theirs.

I can think of A LOT of prog bands I like less than AIC to be honest.
Layne Staley was just an epic vocalist.
