I don't know, I think UZ may be able to burn them to the ground and dance on the ashes

Basically nothing is really similar to Tortoise, they're quite unique. But there are things I would recommend to a Tortoise fan, such as:

5.00 | 1 ratings
Sonic Codex
2007

(more towards sampling and soundscapes)

3.64 | 7 ratings
One-Armed Bandit
2010

(more jazz, Nu-Jazz to be correct)

4.24 | 30 ratings
Enter
2006

(math rock meets post-rock)

I don't know, I think Shub-Niggurath may sacrifice them to some Lovecraftian demon in exchange for immortality.

I'm sorry guys, has any of you seen them both in order to compare? NO? Oh wait, you talk without knowing... You're forgiven.

Surprisingly, I have to agree with Alex.
Jaga Jazzist is nice, Russian Circles too.
Not a big fan of Aarset, though.

Yeah I've listened to some of their stuff on the 'tube.  Just be happy I didn't compare them to Magma. Wink

TNT is three stars. MNLWND is earth-shattering.

I'm guessing it's your supposition that (insert band here) is better than Turtle. Anyway, I'm vacating the premises too, just cus I can't stand being in the same area for more than three hours, so farewell possible humans.
