Xtal is an amazing song. Just sayin.

Aphex Twin?

Indeed. I still haven't managed to get SAW1, but I've heard it all from various web sources, and I love Xtal to death. Just ahead of Weathered Stone and 4 for favorite AT track. He's probably one of my biggest influences musically, along with Tortoise and Radiohead.

My sig speaks for itself. Smile

yeah. Most of my friends (the ones that like good music anywayWink) suggest Boards of Canada, so I should probably try some of that sometime.

If you like Aphex Twin, I don't see how you wouldn't like BoC. I'd recommend all 3 of their albums.

is it just me or is Radiator in 11/8?
I think he'd fit nicely in progressive electronic, though I'm sure this has been discussed before.

Oh yeah, I've tried, unless we get a new genre for modern progressive electronic I don't think he'd ever get in.

I think Aphex Twin would fit nicely in Progressive Electronic as well. But that is beyond my control obviously.

That's about all I can say about that subject though. There's other reasons as well, but I won't delve into them. I'm sure you can figure it out though. Wink

Until PE becomes about more than just bands that come from the Kraftwerk/TD/Schulze school of electronic music, then AT will not be on PA.

And now I've probably said too much. Embarrassed

Yeah, that is why we'd need a new genre, because the current one ain't changing. LOL

I have, and I will get to them after the reviewing spree I am currently engaged in. I think the only one of those bands I have heard stuff from was Dun, who I quite enjoyed.

Nice.
Prepare to be converted, then. Hehehehe.
Honestly, I hope you'll like it. Let me know what you think when you will have heard them.
Also, I might upload a couple of these albums for you eventually.

By the way Matt, when I say essential, I mean Present's Triskaïdekaphobie + Le poison qui rend fou, you love this album don't you?
