It took me days Seriously, it is one of Yes's toughest albums to get into as well as Tales(for it's lengthiness).
I enjoy Gates of Delirium pretty much, but thinking about it as a whole, the 'Soon' section doesn't flow at all IMO, it just ruins it all, even if it's beautiful. 16 minutes of Gates of Delirium are brilliance and chaos while the rest ruins the flow, though not neccesary bad.

Couldn't disagree more. When you think of the "chaotic" part as the war, think of "Soon" as the aftermath, surveying the battlefield in the misty morning and viewing the hell that man has unleashed on fellow man, yet there is an element, a ray of hope ("the sun will lead us, our reason to be here") that we will persevere and survive. It's because this gentle part follows the ferocious chaos that I was (and still am) so moved by this piece.

Analysis comes easy when you've been listening to something for almost 20 years.

Really you guys?
I like H to He a lot, but personally I don't think anything compares to Godbluff. That's my VdGG of choice

They're the one band that I'd say released five masterpieces in a row. I'm happy with people preferring Godbluff. Also a great album. H To He has Lost, though, so...

My main issue with that song is:
Kill them. Give them as they give us |
So painfully bland.

More Genesis? Yes, yes, I know. These are strange days. Oh, am I the only one who find Watcher of the Skies a little bland?

Nope. I think the Genesis Live version is much, much better, though. There are some great moments on the studio one, but I think large chunks of it don't quite work. Time Table is also something I've historically not been 100% fond of, though it's growing on me. Rest of the album's fantastic, though.

I get what you mean, but I think the moment in the chaos and peace are connected, it isn't well done.
Well, doesn't matter, we won't reach to an agreement anyways.
