^ Have you heard Calling by However, as well?  That's also a great, great album.

As for me, Suono - Distillirie di Malto

Of course Doc! It's indeed a good album but I definitely prefer the first one.

Oh and I love Suono! So let me ask you now, have you heard DDM's first album?

Business as usual for Red Fang: Most of the songs are perfectly competent but unexceptional stoner doom in the vein of Orange Goblin's later albums.... then, occasionally they'll suddenly hit it out of the park with a small handful of the best songs I've heard in the style in a long time.

I've noticed there's a few more psychedelic/atmospheric flourishes with the production than on their previous albums, by the way.

Like with Murder the Mountains I think the second half of Whales and Leeches is by that the best, as that's where it gets around to the heaviest and most complex songs. I wonder if the guy from YOB who does guest vocals on one song also contributed to some of the songwriting there, since a couple tracks get into some rather spacy territory.

Mike Scheidt being on the last Red Fang album reminded me to dig this out:

Perfect album to conclude a busy and stressful week with. The kind of universe-moving cosmic doom metal that really takes the soul on a journey through vast beautiful stretches of outer space, unspoilt distant landscapes and intricate ancient temples.
