nm guys, just watching Colors live, how was Opeth?

It was good. Seeing Lotus Eater (my favorite song from them) was worth the money alone. The opening acts were mixed though (High on Fire sucked, Baroness was decently good... but I just wanted to see Opeth already!) and I hated the moshing so David and I moved after the second song... then it was much more enjoyable.

Pits are fun when they're during a band you don't like, or basement shows. Yeah, High On Fire was horrible when I saw them too. Good to know you had a good time. Rumor is they'll be back in April/May. I'll be seeing that again.

I enjoyed it and I like Opeth and all, but I'd rather save potential concert money on bands like PT, TMV, and others before seeing them again... especially since I hardly get any money or opportunities to see bands live. Lotus Eater and Heir Apparent were actually the two best ones.

I hate the whole idea of bumping into someone else; it strikes me as pointless and immature, but that's just my preference.

GO SEE PT.
NOW.

That was an amazing show, one of the best I've seen. But maybe that was because I wasn't there alone...Wink
Oh wait, nah it was the musicLOL

I know I'm seeing PT on their next tour, and I don't care if I have to drive several hours to do it. Although the only bad thing about it would be that I'd have to drag that Alex guy along. He'd want to see them too.Wink

And I thought I was the only one left who went to concerts to watch music being performed, not to get repeatedly bashed in the faceTongue
All the shows that I go to in smaller places I usually opt to hang out on the sides to stay out of the swarm in front of the stage. I was watcing one of my friend's shows and he is the bass player, and people were running around on the stage and somebody actually knocked him into their guitarist and it cut a gash maybe an inch below his eye. It was ugly, let me tell ya.

Holy crap!Shocked You'd think more people would have common sense in a situation like that.Confused

You'd think so. Confused

PT was amazing live, one of the tightest live bands I've ever seen.

Well not even common sense, it's just like seriously, they are performing their music for you, at least have enough respect to get off the stage while they're playing, let along injuring them.

Roger Waters got mad just because people were talking during his performances...

It was like church.

Haha, yeah. LOL

Three is another band I want to see simply because of what I've heard people say about their live shows. Well, same with PT too. I love both bands a lot, but PT slightly more simply because I think their songwriting is more mature.

It's mainly in the interest of getting the artist more into it, I get so much energy when kids are going nuts while I'm on stage. It's a metal thing. I think kids are getting into it, makes me feel better, and feel better - play better, and play better - more fun, and fun - my fav thing evar.

idk, it's just in good fun I think

Meh. Opinions.

It would bug the hell out of me. LOL

I saw 'em on the same tour...3 wasn't that great. Just my opinion though.

Anyways, I'm out.
Peace.

That's understandable, actually. I'm not one to go to concerts all that often anyway, but I definitely do want to see some more bands live.

Well, they're expensive, people are obnoxious, beer is exorbitant, if you have to piss you miss, and you leave with your ears ringing.

I've seen three concerts with which I was VERY happy I went to.

I'm getting excited too - I ordered Stockholm and Goteborg separately, but they'll sell you a version of the box minus that CD at a reduced price, and they're also splitting the box into two "volumes" that you can order separately....ReR is being pretty good about this since the price is pretty steep.

That is true. But I got relatively good deals for all 3 concerts I've been to.
