Of her four siblings, three were sisters.

No, she died at an age younger than 60.

Mitochondrial DNA surely has its merits.

"The" screamed in vain? Do you mean "she" or maybe "they"?

OK, European?

I mean "she". Apologies for the typing error; I will watch my keystrokes more carefully before posting.

Yes, European.

I’ve found a match: Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia

I guess the next three hints would have started with O, V and A to spell ROMANOVA. The only hint I didn’t find was the fictional witness (I didn’t read the whole article, though). I found nothing about screaming in the movies.

Clap Well done again (including the other hints). It was indeed Stacy Romanova. The "fictional witness" was in fact an offender. This hint refers to a line in the lyrics of Sympathy for the Devil, the notorious Stones' song:

I killed the Czar and his ministers
Anastasia screamed in vain

Some ten people have claimed to be Anastasia; DNA tests performed in recent years have proved all these claims to be false. But in 1968, when this song was written, many people believed that she had survived the killing.

Nothing wrong with the Stones hint. If I had known the lyrics by heart, it would even have been a giveaway.

Next one up:
Male, deceased.
He say nothing is quite what it seems;
I say nothing is nothing
