I'll find out shortly (hopefully) but I can't resist UZ. Terrible strategy on their part IMO but I love them too much to not hear it.

Don't know MM but the other 4 are excellent.

High quality modern avant-jazz-rock, with busy drumming a fair amount of electronics/looping. This album also has Dave Liebman joining them for the duration.

And it's on moonjune, which is a plus.

To be honest I'm not sure, I'm a UZ junkie so I was going to buy it anyway but I think it's a pretty dumb strategy by Daniel. He'll make more per disc but he'll probably sell a lot less overall and may well piss off some potential buyers.

I think it's probably as strong as Clivages which is my favorite since the 1313 - Heatwave run.

Same here, Nick.

I'd planned an eight album haul @waysidemusic.com, but with shipping costs/tax it would've ended up way too expensive for my wallet this month, so I went for a local/cheaper alternative. That wayside-haul will just have to wait.

Won't be able to buy new music for the next couple of months (dentist, tax, car repair).

But...

I made reserve (haven't opened the last 4 orders): Moody Blues, Pinder, Crimson, VdGG, IQ, Eloy.

Will unwrap them slowly.

Cheers to the poor and prevalent club members.

Not wanting the good people at Wayside to suffer through your budget this month, I made such a purchase from Wayside yesterday to help them.  Rather charitable on my part, if you ask me.  LOL

I like to give to that charity too.  Breaks my heart to see all those CDs online that need a loving home.

Yes, that is so sad, Steve. As you know, I always do my best to get as many homeless albums off the dirty streets of the information superhighway as I can at the end of each month. Just couldn't do that to the ones I wanted to this time around, sadly. That said, it opened up an opportunity for some other ones.

Good of you to step up and take responsibility when I fall too short, Scott. You're a good man.

^^^^ you guys always put a smile on my face even though I'm faced with the grim task of being responsible/independent Nick. Man. It isn't easy. I feel a bit behind the eight ball so far in 2014.
I will pick it up though. I have an orphanage of Cd children I have to support. Father Prog is needed!

Uncle Steve at Wayside has been getting his usual level of support from my bank balance, I was going to try and cut back my spending this year but I'm already at 30 albums.

Yeah. I've fully accepted the fact that I won't stop buying music anytime soon. I much rather cut back in other ways.

I just picked up a couple of excellent country albums. Holly Williams - 'The Highway'& Jason Isbell - 'Southeastern'.

I'm pretty much a metal-head...prog metal, power metal, death metal, classic metal...

But these two albums just touch something in me. Holly Williams is Hank Williams Jr.'s daughter, and Jason Isbell used to play for the southern rockers The Drive By Truckers.
