All I've done is logic gates, really.  I did understand all that at the time and it probably would come back to me if I looked at it again.

Oh and I did make a basic circuit at school once.

And I have soldered.  I had to make an RS232 cable for Uni.

I don't even know how to solder! The only thing I've ever soldered is my sh*tty contact mikes, all of which have broken after 2 uses. Stupid sh*tty wires...

If you can hold a fork and knife soldering is pretty easy, unless you are stupid like me and try to change the tip while it's still on, I was using a pair of pliers but it slipped out and I essentially shoved it into the palm of my hand. I had to ride the bus back to school more than once while my hand were throbbing with pain from burns. LOL

The concert was brilliant, they played Coyoto in full. It was edgier than the studio version, Toby almost growled during a hot moment. You can hear it recorded in full here, on the show's blog: http://pipeline.wmbr.org/

The preview was made with the studio recording of the new material, but I couldn't understand much of it because they talked over it. It had a lot of vibraphone, and sounded a bit like Tortoise.
Ah, I was wondering why the performance was so damn long. I guess this could be the time for me to finally listen to Cayote, or maybe not.

Incidentally, I don't understand the appeal of Tortoise at all. I've moved into music that is more about texture than melody, but Tortoise songs never go anywhere.

It's a very fitting band name then.

The problem I had with soldering is using too much solder and hence the wires fall off to easily. LOL

Hahaha, you know I hadn't thought of that before.

And yeah, it's a little embarassing, I guess, that I decided to be an EE before I really doing anything with electronics, but it'll all work out I guess.

My problem is getting whatever I'm soldering to heat up enough to melt the solder, I spend most of my time staring at it waiting for it to heat up.

Actually, Conor's ex is easily traceable too, she should have used a pseudonym as well.  Do they never learn?

I am kind of looking forward to the new William Shatner sitcom "sh*t My Dad Says".  The snippets look pretty funny.  I guess that it is based on a book of the same title.  Has anyone read this book or heard anything about it?

June, do you use MSN or anything?  I'd like a chat, if you're available?
