Taking a dip in the Claypool:

Whamola baby!

Blurb from CD Universe:

PURPLE ONION has the instantly endearing quirkiness of YELLOW SUBMARINE and the melodic abandon of JOE'S GARAGE. "Whamola" and "D's Diner" revisit territory forged in Les's Sausage/Primus days, while "Ding Dang" makes a relevant social statement about bigotry with trademark Claypool prose. In an age of marketing strategy and bandwagon trends, PURPLE ONION is refreshingly original and entertaining.

Eclectic 2002 album reminiscent of old Peter Gabriel, Tom Waits and Pink Floyd. Featuring guest artists Warren Hayes, Fish Fisher of Fishbone, Norwood Fisher and Lonnie Marshall. 12 tracks. Digipak.

Les Claypool is nothing short of a fringe art genius. With a cult following that has never relied on mainstream promotion or acceptance, the Primus bassist/vocalist forges ahead with his journey into musical madness, Frog Brigade. In typically offbeat Claypool fashion, the Brigade's third album PURPLE ONION was preceded by two live releases.

Personnel: Les Claypool (vocals, guitar, bass, percussion); Eenor (guitar, slide guitar, Jew's harp, background vocals); Warren Haynes (guitar); Gabby Lang (sitar); Ben Barnes (violin); Sam Bass (viola, cello); Skerik (baritone saxophone); Mike Dillon (vibraphone, marimba, drums, tabla, cuica, pandeira, percussion); Lonnie Marshall, Norwood Fisher (bass); Fish Fisher, Dean Johnson, Jay Lane (drums).

Quantum Fantay: Ugisiunsi (Belgium-2007).
Very good instrumental music between space-rock and progressive rock.

Steve Vai Passion and Warfare album cover
Returned from the Alien Music Secrets guitar class....great, amazing experience.

Including a short jam with the master himself.....wowza fun.
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

Fans of early Porcupine Tree and Pineapple Thief might want to check out this album from another Canadian trio.

Arti e Mestieri 2008 box set, "33", containing CD, LP, 2 DVDs, book, pictures, etc

CD has 33 tracks which have live tracks, outtakes, demo versions, all of which have been rerecorded as well.  So you might listen to a new version of "Scacco Matto" which blends into the original demo recording.  It's very well done and very entertaining.
