Aha!

I want full apologies for pointing out my typo, Hughes, or I'll see you in court. Wink

Post 6000 (+1). Are we closing in on another thread spill, or will this thread hold on? I don't remember what the limit was, but 300 pages & 6000 posts is considerably a lot.

for a less-expensive model it has some very nice mother-of-pearl inlays around the soundhole, and the marker dots are small and also pearl

BTW, Hughes, the Aussie Open just started in Melbourne. How come you're wasting your time here, instead of being there?

Umm, because I don't consider reading and listening to music a waste of time, and I've never liked tennis.

Well then, buy me tickets, arrange me a place to stay, and I'll go. Big smile

That's cool.
You know what acoustic I want?
Don't laugh, but the Mick Thomson Ovation signature (yes, one of Slipknot's guitarists, but to be fair, he is a monster player and can shred his ass off like you wouldn't believe).
The specs look amazing and it was deigned in mind with guys like me who play electric guitars a lot and don't have the time to get accustomed to a regular acoustic, so it has a thinner neck than normal acoustics and a faster fingerboard.

I also want to get a 7 string classical guitar too one day.
They aren't cheap, since only custom shops make them, but the clips I've heard of them sound stunning, and the low B string has this deep, powerful quality to the sound.

I'm not much of a classical guitarist, but you remember that piece from Ozzy Osbourne's album, Blizzard Of Ozz album, that classical piece, Dee? (The one Randy Rhoads wrote for his mom).
I used to be able to play that, but I haven't picked up my classical guitar in a while, so when I went to try it again, I had lost it, but it's a nice piece.

Spanish Fly, that's a great song.
I love the first 2 Van Halen albums to death. So inspired sounding, and everytime I listen to those albums , they make me want to get my guitar out straight after and just play.

he was so great, now it seems he's not held in as high regard but he was easily the best-sounding and most influential player for years (along with Randy) till Yngwie came along..  my fave is Fair Warning, the solo in 'Push Comes to Shove' and the intro to 'Meanstreet' .. fantastic, no one like him, and as you've pointed out before, his rhythms were the best
