The Buccos are closing in on that 100 loss mark. So close that I can taste it. Management should be ashamed.

The Tigers fell behind 2-0 going into the 4th inning and things were looking pretty dire.  After all, they scored 11 runs yesterday so that means that runs were going to be at a premium tonight.  Fortunately, they scored 4 in the top of the 4th and now lead 4-2 going into the 7th inning.  Verlander has pitched really good other than the 3rd inning.  Hopefully, they hold on and go into the weekend 3 games ahead of the Twinkies.  Hopefully, the White Sox will lay down for the Tigers like they did for the Twinkies, and the Royals will give the Twinkies as hard of time as they have given the Tigers this month.

7 game homestand to end the season.  4 against the Twinkies and 3 against the White Sox.  I'll probably be in attendance for all of them, so it should be an awesome week.  Hopefully, they can clinch sooner rather than later, to alleviate some of the being a fan stress.

who knows... you might get a Lions win Sunday as well hahahhah.  Looks like you can get tickets for that as well hahahha.  You all look to be improved... they are already warming up to call for Zorn's head if we lose to you on Sunday.

I'll be shocked if the Lions can beat the Redskins.
Yeah!!! Tigers just scored their 5th run on an RBI double from Carlos Guillen.

yeah buddy!!!!!

and back to football...  I wouldn't be surprised....not at all actually.   The skins are a mess.. and they are getting it from the fans here... the team... and ownership... that was the reason for the booing last Sunday.  Danny Snyder is only a step above Jerry Jones in the heart of a good many skins fans...

I guess I woudn't be suprised if they lost...  or blew out the Lions... been a rough week for the team.  (see the signature hahha)

curious to see how they react Sunday...

anyway.. back to baseball....  how do like the Tigers chances against the Yanks Scott..  you see them much more often than I do?

Lions couldn't beat the Skins when the Lions were a decent team.  Hard to think they can beat the Skins when the Lions are a bad team.

To be honest, I don't expect that the Tigers have much of a shot against the Yankees.  However, I didn't think they had much of a shot in 2006 either so.....

The Yankees won the season series 5 games to 1 and are 15 games better than the Tigers, so it seems that it is a bit lopsided, but anything can happen. The Tigers have a great 3 starting pitchers with Verlander, Jackson, and Porcello and that is what you need to win a 5 game series.

^ yeah....   I remember posting that some time back....  that starting pitching makes them VERY dangerous.

should be entertaining...   nothing spells October like college football.. the beginning of hockey season... and the Yanks falling on their faces again...

Yep.  Univ. of Michigan is 3 and 0, so all is right in the universe again.  LOL  I'm going to see the Wings play tomorrow night in a preseason game (no PT in Michigan for me, although I could go see Tiles play again since they are playing Friday night).  And of course, I am present and accounted for for the Tigers run to the pennant (wishful thinking anyways).

yeah... I'm really looking forward to that show tomorrow night.  More of curious bystander than as a fan... nice change from seeing shows of artists I love... artists I dispise.. and artists I don't know...  one I know.. and have very mixed feelings about.

trying to decide if this is the Caps year or not....  think they might be one year away... really looking forward to the upcoming season.

Yep.  Rodney is lurking in the bullpen for the bottom of the 9th, so put on your seatbelt and keep your hands and feet inside the car at all times.

And Rodney was Rodney.  2-run homer to Shin-Soo Choo and the score was 6 to 5 Tigers.  He then gave up a single to Hafner to put the game winning run to the plate.  Jhonny Peralta then hit a line drive towards left and Brandon Inge made the Sports Center Number 1 play to make the catch and end the game.  Rodney is something like 33 for 34 in save opportunities, but he could have very easily blown about 25 of those saves with the trouble that he has got himself into.

Rockies are 3.5 ahead in the National League wild card chase with 8 games to go, still need to win a few games.

Today only made it 2 -1 in the last inning witha  pinch runner instead of Helton.

Eddie Bonine had a no-hitter going into the 6th inning, and lost it by giving up a two run homerun with two outs after an error by Brandon Inge.  Tigers lose 2 - 0.  I know that Jake Peavy is good, but he has been hurt all year.  Where the f**k was the Tigers offense that supposedly was peaking at the right time of the season.  Twinkies won and now the Tigers' lead is only two games.  The collar is starting to get pretty tight.  This weeks 4 games series is definitely going to be the deciding factor.  Angry  Damn Tigers were up 7 games two weeks ago and should have been able to clinch fairly easily but nooooooo they have to make it stressful.

Dodgers could have clinched today but Furcal made two bad plays in the 9th.Angry Have to hang on to the best record. They will need home field advantage for sure.

Greinke shutdown the Twins, but the Tigers couldn't take advantage against the White Sox.  Still they have a two game lead going in to our 4 game series with the Twins. As long as the Tigers take two they will be in great shape going in to the weekend.

NL Wild card is looking fun. The Braves are only 2 1/2 out with four against the Nats. At the moment the Cards are going to play L.A if nothing changes with Philly playing the Rocks.
