I spend my time finishing up my album.  Have I told you about it?

You mentioned it in the context of it being a possible prize for this game, but that's all. Is it your first album?

Yes, it's my first.  There are five symphonic rock songs, ranging from eight minutes to twenty minutes (give or take, depending on final edits).

I'm very excited about it, and I'm hoping I have enough money to get the project done by Christmas.  I've been working on it for three and a half years!

That sounds awesome! My band is in the process of finishing our first album too (it's been taking way too long, but I guess there's no rush). We've had it finished except one song for MONTHS now, but distance factor, school, schedules, perfectionism, etc. has made it difficult to finish the last song. It could be done any time soon now, I'm just waiting on the final input from another band member off of what I already composed.

I'll be advertising it here so you'll be able to hear it when it's done, copyrighted, and all that crap. It's not typical prog rock though, and not really symphonic.

I plan on purchasing advertising here also.  Very reasonable, I think!

Maybe PA will host me as a "Featured Artist," only I hope I don't get the same reception as Torman Maxt.  Wink

Just because isn't not symphonic doesn't mean it's not great.  I love Rush the same as you.  How many people are in your band?  I don't have a band...it's just me.  Smile

Haha, Torman Maxt. LOL

Yeah, I'm going to try to get added or something on here too, hopefully. Not sure what sub-genre though; it fits RIO/Avant more than it does Symphonic, I would think.

There are currently 3 people in my band; 4 were featured on the first album.

What role(s) do you play in your band?

Actually, let me just give you our homepage.

http://www.freewebs.com/casualtiesofappliedmetaphysics/index.htm

I'm the "Fripp" of the band, so to speak. Though I don't absolutely control everything; I just founded the band, come up with the concepts, do most co-composing or composing, etc. I don't like to see myself as the only force behind it either as that would be unfair, but I guess the Fripp comparison kinda works?

I play drums primarily and I also do a sh*tload of unconventional keyboard playing (I hesitate to say that I'm a keyboardist sometimes because it's very experimental).

Well, I'm not the Fripp of my "Band."

I'm the Oldfield.  LOL

My music is bathed in acoustic guitar, melltron, and organ.

I alternate between a five-string Spector and a Geddy Lee signature Fender for the bass.

Next time I meet you in this thread, I'll give you more details (I'm in process with a website right now).  However, the wifey is a callin Wink...

...Okay, she just wants me to keep her warm (it's cold, even in Florida).  LOL

Have a great night- can't wait to talk to you again.

Homophones for 1.

Well, that is, if anyone else shows up really soon. If not, then save my preference, since I'll be back later once I leave.

I won't post the question until someone else posts here.  You need competition.

Just a fair warning, Prog Jeopardy Round 4 will begin in five minutes, beginning with the clue Alex requested.

The winner gets cards equal to ten percent of their total score rounded down.
