Spirit Of Eden from Talk Talk. I'm not a big fan of post-rock but after listening to this on youtube it conjoured up emotions that a piece of music hasn't done for quite some time. Brilliance.

Excellent choice. If you do enjoy it then please consider Laughing Stock (the follow-up) as it is even better, IMO.

I actually might change what I posted earlier. I listened to this band called Delusion Squared last night and I was amazed! They're a newer band and have only one album and that one album sounds awesome!

i have to check out the bands more on here to get some inspiration as what to get next. however, i'm reading the above posts about talk talk and thinking to myself 'the people that did 'it's my life' the song i used to dance to at the goth club?' a quick check on wiki and yes, yes it is and i lvoe that song. so now i'm gonna check out these last two albums that they came out with SOE and LS, possibly buy em. i like discovering that 80's bands with one big hit or something evolve into something else entirely an are beautiful. nick begs plays with steve hackett ffs and he is awesome

Hey! Hey! I love Gustav Mahler! I have only heard excerpts of his music in the past and I currently own nothing. I saw the Ken Russell film on Mahler. Some of it was hokey but, held my interest nevertheless. Great to see this post.

Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden
Resistor - Rise
Listened to Talk Talk after reading a lot of good criticism, and now its a must buy. It's only going to feed my growing obsession of Post-Rock.

I'm currently thinking about buying the Hydrotoxin cd that's up on ebay. Love that album, but it's a bit expensive.
And just so you're warned: If anyone reads this and goes on ebay and buys it; I will track you down, create an elaborate fake that looks just like the original except the music will be Lady Gaga, and sneak into your house at night and replace it.

Probably Eyeless in Gaza's 'rust red september' and The Nits' 'OMSK'.
Although considering buying Bruckner's complete symphonies directed by Celidibache.

Pierre Boulez' interpretation of Mahler's symphonies are considered the best by connaisseurs. I have the 5th and is really dense and astonishing.

I heard songs from drumming and I liked them as well. Quite a unique band.

Right now, I have on order...
Ghost - Opus Eponymus Motorpsycho - Lucid Little Moments Motorpsycho - Black Hole/Blank Canvas Foxy Shazam - Foxy Shazam Sunn 0))) - Monoliths & Dimensions
I found out last time I went to the 'larger city centre' in my area that one of the two music stores that actually ordered music for people closed down. They had a couple of movies on hold for me and when I go to pick them up, the doors are papered over. I've since heard a rumour that another music-and-movies store is coming to take their place in a few months, but damnit I liked that other store.
