There is no "best" when it's comes to music. It all comes down to personal opinion.

Six Degrees track itself has everything - from The Enid symphonic start to the rush like guitar riffs - to the Classical guitar and synth of 1970's Yes - Yep a truly amazing piece of music !!!

Dream Theater are a stunning group of musicians and 6 Degrees fits perfectly into their portfolio.

I love "6DoIT". I've always thought that Disc 1 was basically a combination of avantgarde rock and harsh heavy metal tendencies in a prog metal context. The latter would be assumed more thoroughly in their following record, while the form

The start of Disc II - I love it - very "The Enid" is any more DT like this CD, I've got scenes from a memory which has a fantastic opening 20 minutes but then goes a bit downhill. I've not listened to Images and words apart from the first track

Yeah, it is meant to do that, though it is a bit weird, you should check out the rest of that album, it's excellent, metropolis pt.1 and learning to live are particularly good

I read about it in the FAQ; it said something like it represents how suddenly death can come or something. I think they just cocked up the recording and made up an excuse

Probably that, lol, but that did have me wondering until I heard them do it on a live recording. As for "6DOIT", this is amazing. I always thought this album was considered crap, so to see so many people who like it is really cool.

It's weird - I listened to MPt2 and the Opening 20-25 minutes is Mind-blowing, but - it loses it for the rest - it just doesn't quite match the start, still great but not fantastic ! - However SDOIT is just Mindblowing period!

[QUOTE=Cesar Inca] I guess tha tthe abrupt ending signals Hamlet's death: you see, the lyrics are inspired by Hamlet's determination to undertake a course of action to avenge his father's murder ("I'll take seven lives for one and then my only father's
