I've heard some of these albums and i think that hot rats is the best among them! | So did I. Given my fave album is Hot Rats, too, can anyone suggest me other Zappa albums? I don't want to deal with the ~100 album discography!!! I may suggest you Tangerine Dream albums in return ![](smileys/smiley2.gif) (I listened to the first 9 albums in the discography here, and found Weasels.. also worthy, but not at par with Hot Rats. I am an experimental/Fusion/Krautrock type of listener these days, but not so much into fusion!) Just hit the PM button at the bottom of my post

Listen to Turkish psych/prog; you won't regret: Baris Manco,Erkin Koray,Cem Karaca,Mogollar,3 Hürel,Selda,Edip Akbayram,Fikret Kizilok,Ersen (and Dadaslar) (but stick with the '70's, and 'early 80's!)

I had to go with One Size Fits All. That '74 band was unstoppable.

There are so many good albums by this man.
I'm going to have to say "Shut Up and Play Your Guitar"
very tough choice.

Unfortunately I have only first 15 albums of Mr. Zappa, but even though it's hard choice to choose one.
He was so prolific and diverse, that I think it would be more appropriate to create poll like "Best Era Of Zappa (60's 70's 80's 90's)" or "What Genre Suits To Zappa Best?" (jazz, doo-wop, etc...) or "Zappa's Best Jazz-Rock Album"...
As for this poll I'll go for HOT RATS.
P.S: Jesus H. Christ! Some freak voted for Lumpy Gravy

I prefer the jazzier Zappa, so Hot Rats for me. I also enjoy One Size fits all, but have not heard The Grand Wazoo.
