honestly... not one. Know my musical limitations to stay
the hell away from stuff that I probably won't like (prog-metal) and of

single album that I regret getting.

Exactly same with me. I was so disappointed I felt obliged to write 1 star review here to prevent others from such mistake of purchasing this crap.
Same goes to last two Garden Wall albums and Edhels "Universal"
Also last solo album by Steve Walsh turned out to be very weak except for one last track.
Latest works by Arena and Spock's Beard were extremely disappointing to me. And last Kaipa and Flower Kings albums did not live up to my expectations.
So all in all a lot of rubbish was issued lately even under big names of prog.

Hate to say it, but as far as prog goes, probably Wakeman- Songs from Middle Earth. Too boring. either that or this compilation called prog rock Epics that I found in the discount bin for 3 bucks. Turns out the only "epic" song on it is a Tab in the Ocean by Nektar. A nice cover of carpet crawlers by John Ford from Strawbs, then a crappy reworking of Long Distance Runaround and Roundabout, which I already don't much like. A carppy industrial version of I talk to the wind, a nice more metally version of Red, and You're own special way redone by Wetton, which is a crappy nonprog song to begin with.

hahahah... thinking back over it.... I do remember ONE horrid purchase
that is a favorite story of mine.... and the only album (CD) to take a
death flight onto I-95..........
Pink Floyd - A Momentary Lapse of Reason...... halfway through the
first listen...out to window to a quick death in Springfield
Virginia. I had waited so long for that to be released.. the
return of Floyd... hahahah yeah right...
Music so bad... even a 20 year old punk could recognize the sound of a
band leaving all artistic pretenses behind and making a grab for
cash....

And then there were three by Genesis, I expected progrock but unfortunately I was confronted with Phil Collins inspired pop-prog, goodbey to symphonic rock Genesis .. .....

GTR - GTR. It only cost me about 2 euros though, so it doesn't really count.

The GTR tour would have been amazing to see though. One acoustic set from Howe, one set from Hackett, and then GTR to finish it up. So essentially, you would have gone for the first two sets and then left before GTR came up.

I feel the same way. I usually research an album before I buy it, and even the ones I do buy on a complete whim I usually like.

A Nice Pair - Pink Floyd.
Having just got Meddle, Obscured By Clouds and DSOTM and loved them, I bought this double of their first two expecting much of the same. After listening to it, I nearly died. Not only is Piper At The Gates truly abysmal, but Saucerful is almost as bad.
I gave it to the cricket club car boot last year and noone wanted it, so I got it back. My son has threatened to hack me to bits with an axe if I ever put it on again; I know how he feels.
Brain Salad Surgery comes a close second and Tales From Topographic Oceans a dishonourable third.

"Accordo" - solo album by PFM guitarist Franco Mussida.
45 minutes of some oscillator tones and nothing more!
There is a warning, in Italian, on album cover, that no guitars here etc. If I knew it when ordered! Thrown away money.

hahahahh.... possibly the one album that might have broken a 30 or 40
album winning streak for the Italain prog genre. Have loved
everything I've heard so far. Though I'm such the 'fanboy' right
now.... I'd probably still find something to like in it.

Same way here... though I went out on a limb with many before I really
got into this site. Such a fan of prog that I find something to
like in all the albums I guess hahahha.

Close to the Edge by that horrible band Yes...
...kidding
My worst purchase was probably Holidays in Eden by Marillion, I really don't care for that album at all.
I'm just waiting for someone to say their worst was a "Best of Christopher Cross" box set.

- Symphony X - V - Too power metal for me - I was very disappointed.
- Fates Warning - Parallels - just plain boring metal.
- Dream Theater - Falling Into Infinity - another boring disappointment.
- ELP - Works Vol. 1 and 2 - had these on LP - just did not get into them.
- Genesis - Foxtrot and TLLDOB - I am trying to like these two ... really!
- Rush - Hemispheres - What can I say... Geddy Lee worst prog vocalist imo.
- System of A Down - Self-titled - ewww!!! - non-prog I know
