Actually. yea, we can all access these altered mind
states naturally... by meditation techniques, or transe states, etc...
But, please is there a non-stoner here who does that? Theres
those tibetan people... yea... But other than that...
A PORTION of peopple who go in drugs are already super smart and wanna
find out MORE about the universe... and what better way then ingesting
a plant that can make you access that information... and what makes you
say stoners dont meditate or anything once in a while to obtaint it
naturally... Its more about the desire of someone to obtain such
altered mind state. I completely disagree with "people with small minds
use them." Its probably the wisest people who realize. hek drugs arent
bad... what is the meaning of "bad" anyways on this planet. we dont
even KNOW the damn meaning of life. why give ourselves limits... |
I think he was generally speaking. I'm sure some people use
marijuana to expand their minds and stuff like you mentioned, but that
number is quite small. If you are naturally creative, then why
bother using a drug?
Drugs aren't "bad" but they can mess people up both mentally and
physically. I don't think marijuana is bad at all physically, and
I'm not even sure why it's illegal, but it can mentally cripple users
and force them to become almost dependent on the drug to have a good
time (similar to alcohol).

Yea i completely agree. If you wanna adventure into drugs. first: have a goal... and dont take it as a way to have "fun"... take it "spiritually". bless it! and you are right... sadly there arent many people who take drugs this way... Finally, drugs can be bad, and they can be good. depending on your purpose.

Drugs don't interest me at all.
I think, though, with my long hair and my strange music some people can get the wrong impression...

Listen to tool's song third eye. The guy talking reminds me of Bill Hicks now that I think about it, not sure though.
Have you listened to the song "The End" from the doors. It's an amazing track IMO but surely a result of being alone in the desert talking LSD.

yea, being stoned gives you a wider consiousness, wether you believe it or not, if you refuse to believe so, then you're just being stupid. and all those discussions aroud going "did this band use drugs? bla bla bla"... my opinion is , in progressive rock mostly, there must be at least 90% of bands that touched drugs at least once in their life. Drugs arent so bad yo know

I'll have a beer when hanging out with friends (which unfortunately doesn't happen often - too busy)
That's it really.

I believe that certain drugs give you a connection to the source - call it the planet, god, the other side, whatever.
I also believe certain drugs close those doors and turn you into an arrogant t**ser.
I like pot, I like mushrooms. Both have given me a clearer
understanding of what it is to be creative, and what it is to be human.
I look at the people around me who take Ecstasy and snort coke... and
they're blithering idiots with no sense of immagination at all.

This is the only thing I will dispute. It most certainly DOES NOT force
anyone to become dependant, and it hasn't crippled me in the slightest.
People who already have mental issues without drugs though, they should steer well clear, and this includes the religious folk.

Maybe so, but I know for a fact that 100% of bands were not on drugs at least once in their lives.
