early ELO works were OK before an abysmal fall into syrupy easy listening stuff |

I love both bands, but ELP were the most consistent at producing quality albums - well at least until BSS.
As for ELP the only albums of theirs that hit the sweet spot for me are the debut, ELO2, and A New World Record. Everything else I find a bit hit and miss - and I mostly lost interest after 'Discovery' when they ditched their distinctive cello/violin accompaniments. |

Neither are my favourites but I listen to ELO occasionally still, while it's been years sincee I wanted to listen to anything ELP.
