I totally agree with you richardh for a partial TD discography...the blue and melrose years don't deserve a page on a prog site, commercial synth music...really far from the mindblowing and very complex music offered on albums such as Alpha Centauri, Zeit, Phaedra...

I don't know.  I mean, we don't leave post-Steve Hackett Genesis off the Genesis page.  Nor do we leave off Yes albums featuring Trevor Rabin.  Or Rush after Moving Pictures.  I think that if a band has had prog works, their entire discography should get listed, prog or not.

But then Genesis and Yes output after 1980 is easy to track and is merely a (sad) postscript to their career.Tangerine Dream are one of those groups who put out 2 or 3 albums a year! Also they have become much less of a band and more of a marketing tool for Edgar Froese solo works in my opinion. But I appreciate your point and actually would like to read reviews of the later albums just in case there is the odd gem or two that I've missed!

I almost voted yes, but then I decided not to conform.

IMHO, this partial discography feels really unfair, very unfair. I'm glad TD is here, but I don't think that this is the way. Well... I agree with ous Useful friend on this... There are many near-but-not-prog bands listed here unconditionally, but a band like TD, whose connection to the prog thing is clearer and more productive, is only partially presented here...

Imagine the surprise of the classic proghead checking out the site for the first time and seeing on the main page a mass of reviews on Tool and Tangerine Dream...

Funny, from a prankster standpoint. Following this line of thought, I'd like to nominate Cannibal Corpse and Wagner.

I'm not sure why Richochet was ommitted. It was released in 1975 on Virgin and is one of their best albums.Likewise Logos was released about 1982.Pergamon was released much later although it is a live show from 1980 and so should be included.

This is what I was thinking.  I doubt we'd actually just do a partial discography.
