Steve Wilson.
But Neal Morse is sorely missing from the poll.

I know James LaBrie is the thing about Dream Theater that turns off a

I completely agree that leaving Neal Morse was a mistake - I haven't watched him on Transatlantic Live In Europe video at the time I started this thread.
Steve Hogarth is a wonderful singer, who had bad luck replacing my neoprog favourite Fish in beloved Marillion - he is worse lyricist and more quiet on stage, so this is the reason H is missing.

Then: Greg Lake
Now: Mikael Åkerfeldt (I like the versatility of his voice)

The question was "who is the best vocalist?" Not, who is your favorite.
Steve Wilson simply cannot be the best vocalist. He, himself, even disagrees with that opinion. His music is quit nice, but to call him a great vocalist ...

Russell Allen - there is so many good progmetal bands, with so many good vocalists - and there is only 25 choices possible in a poll.

"The candidates are my personal best, therefore Steve Hogarth is not included."
It's got to be other, then.

It is said to be the first Test-pressing of the corean release??

For my money, it`s Greg Lake. His voice may not be like it was in years past, but it still packs a wallop and it`s full of distinction. I guess a reason as to why Im not a fan so much of the new prog is that there are hardly any distinguished singers. |

Annie Haslam - fair point, this thread is a little bit sexist.
Daniel Gildenlow - the same as Neal Morse
