Sabbath...BOC...Rainbow...Vangelis. This is way too tough. I can't vote.

Seriously....? Just about every Brit blues rock (and some US ones) borrowed heavily from early black blues men . Zep became huge so they were noticed for doing this. I do agree they should have given credit to those artists for several of the songs they reworked, but they didn't at the time. | There is a big difference between homage/riff borrowing and outright note-for-note, word-for-word theivery. There is only so much you can do with 1/4/5, but they didn't even bother with a thesaurus.

Strangely enough I voted Malmsteen for his impact on heavy metal guitar which took us out of Eddie VH's iron grip and into an era that still echoes loudly today. No one yet since has had a bigger influence on the style and sound of metal guitar.

Almost half of the bands on the list are among my all-time favourites. Having to choose only one, i went for the mighty BOC (surprise, surprise !).

yeah, there's about 6 of these that I hold in equally high regard. So I voted for Buckethead because it was BS that he had no votes.

Amazing. Rainbow do not have vote? So much good stuff here. Led Zep. Bowie, BOC, Sabbath and Queen - the start of the list is so good.
Go and play Stargazer...

Since LZ are ahead, I gave another vote for Vangelis.

Lots of great bands there.
I'll go with Styx primarily based on the strength of The Grand Illusion.

Just reaffirmed my vote while listening to Lodger earlier on today. What a great and underappreciated gem of an album! I love all tracks with no exception and it only gets better after Red Sails.
