As much as I respect Peter Gabriel and Ian Anderson who are very charismatic indeed, Id have to go with Axl Rose...
To come on stage with nothing but a scottish skirt and tight boxers infront of tens of thousands of fat japanese teenagers, and NOT sing a single note correctly... I'd say thats pretty charismatic...

I voted for Gabriel, even whenI only seen him once on stage and on an Amnesty International concert without effects or anything, the guy is pure charisma, I even enjoyed Don't Give Up(He sang it with Sinead O'Connor) even when I don't like the song because the guy has great charisma, now that I have all availlable material of early Genesis shows, I stand on my opinion.
But I've seen Ian Anderson several times and enjoyed each and every one, the guy is a showman, and Freddy Mercury was in the same level.

Rober Plant and Freddie Mercury! They had that little extra, that X Factor that makes them head and shoulders above the rest, they knew how to entertain a crowd and had SERIOUS stage presence!
I have give my vote to Robert Plant (because im a 20 yr old led zep boy as well as a 20 yr old progger!), but trust me if I had 2 votes my other would have gone to Freddie!

Unfortunately, no one here values your opinion enough to care.

One likes to believe
In the freedom of music
But glittering prizes
And endless Compromises
Shatter the illusion

I've seen them live half a dozen times.
I think they're great live, & unlike most Prog bands, they have humility on their side aswell.
Just thought i'd cancel the naysayers out.

Though I was inclined to vote for Peter Gabriel, because he is one of the best, most charasmatic lead vocalists ever and to keep it in my beloved prog genre, I had to give the vote to good old Jim Morrison. Morrison was just an incredibly talented charasmatic lead vocalist. I doubt we will see his likes ever again.

I voted for Mariah Carey.
And Jim Morrison shouldn't be in the poll because he used to get his penis out on stage, & such indecency should not be encouraged!!
