Oh, and I like your new avvy Loek. Isn't that the monster on the front of Toby Driver's solo project album cover? I have that album, it's kinda interesting but more like noise music. |
It feels just as bad if not worse here. f**k my life.

Why? You're not out in that weather for five hours a day |
I like how you just assume that I'm not outside for at least 5 hours a day.

Eww dorm life.
I only lived in a dorm one year and I could share so many stories.
Like my roommate's brother spending the night. I woke up to see him enthusiastically masturbating into a tube sock.
Or how about somebody taking a sh*t in the water fountain?

I know things, Jordan. Thing's that'd make you cringe.
Oh, that was a really funny joke you told me last night on the astral plane.

Well I've been relatively lucky as far as roommates go, so I haven't had to worry about any weird stories involving me waking up to see someone doing something unexpected. Same with the water fountain, though there was someone who did that into a hat in a toilet.

Oh, that was a really funny joke you told me last night on the astral plane. | Okay............ Nah, but really, I love to go outside for around 3-4 hours a day, if it's only just to take a walk whilst listening to music (I usually have to do yard work as well)... and I can see that it's going to be hard to do that today .

If there's a breeze it's not too bad. Just bring a lot of ice-cold water.

| How about the time I was up late doing a paper? It was dark, and my roommate was asleep.
All of a sudden my laundry basket started rustling and moving around. Scared the sh*t out of me. I looked closer and saw a pair of beady little eyes starting back at me.
Annoyed, I went next door and rapped on the door. My neighbor told me to come in. He was on the top bunk, in his underwear, with a flashlight.
I used my thumb to indicate that the owl he had captured in the woods had somehow gone through the wall and was in my room.
On a cuter note, this same guy captured a duck, and this duck would follow him around campus. It was very cute. We weren't supposed to have animals in the dorm though, but what the hell? The animals were cleaner and more considerate than the people.

I want a pet duck.
I also want a monitor lizard.
Something tells me those two wouldn't get along very well.

In my dorm at a Christian college, it was boring because my roommate was the shyest person in the world, and just the looming oppression of not wanting to offend anyone with my ungodliness was stifling. But at Purdue, we had some times, man. Smoking hookah in the dorm with the smoke detector covered, philosophical discussions, going to coffee shops. Sophomore year was a blast. Junior year we had an apartment, and things were fun, but they changed too much. It became all about parties and smoking weed for some of my friends. One of my friends just smoked weed and started listening to rap all the time. I don't really like him much now. New friends came in and the atmosphere changed a lot. It was fun and I have stories, but things didn't change for the better in most ways. In fact, one of the cooler friends I have/had in sophomore year didn't hang out with us much because there was always an oppressive atmosphere of weed in the apartment (which I certainly didn't like, mind you). And we didn't hang out much during this summer too. We stopped going to the coffee shop and mostly stopped having good conversations. Most people didn't want to have anything to do with that and would rather just get high. It was a very weird atmosphere. At least every week I'd come home from work and as soon as I opened the door--WHAM...wall of weed smell. It wore thin. So now, I have around one friend in my home city while everyone else is back at their colleges. I'm waiting to see what this college year will bring. Hopefully satisfaction with music. Uncertain times these are.
