Oh.  Fair enough.

I was confused 'cause ItLoGaP was being discussed on the page before.

Alright, silly question time. I've never owned a vinyl in my life, and before I was born my parents got rid of all their vinyls as they aren't too interested in music. Now, there has been a kangaroo (kanguru) staring at me from my computer screen and the CD can't be found anywhere here, but the vinyl can, easily. I don't have a turntable, but is it worth anyway to get that vinyl, and perhaps others, just for the artwork? And how are vinyls, apart from the obvious size, more impressive than CD booklets?

I don't know, I've never bought vinyl because I can't play or afford them.

They sound different when played but many people prefer the sound of a vinyl.  Vinyl are usually only worth purchasing now if you desire good artwork and maybe if you the original vinyl is a gatefold and maybe even has a pull-out booklet/poster.

All my vinyl are basic ones and aren't gatefolds.

What exactly do you mean with "basic ones"? Embarrassed

A lot of vinyls just have a front cover and a back cover.  The record is stored in a plain white sleeve that is inserted into the cover.

Front cover Photo of Led Zeppelin Physical Graffiti
Front Cover

Back Cover Photo Led Zeppelin Physical Graffiti
Rare cover.

If I remember correctly there was some sort of insert where the people in the window would change as you slid the insert in and out.  I don't remember for sure though, as it was a friend of mine who had this album.

Aaw... I expected something more than just that. As that specific Kanguru vinyl was released in 2009 according to the site, I suppose I'm not going to buy it just for the artwork then. Thanks for the info, guys. Smile

Just normal vinyl sleeves.  The most minimal ones.

The sleeve don't even have a fold (hence the term gateford).  The vinyl just slides in.

That's a gatefold.

And what is it with people?

LOL

That is indeed true.  My father has Physical Graffiti on vinyl.
