i don't have any of lalle's albums.  i've heard them on spotify and they are fun, but not too memorable.  if i ever need more tfk related stuff, at least i know i can get some of his stuff.  i love his keyboard playing...especially on those last two karmakanic albums.

listened to Adam and Eve today.  i'm burned out from tfk...may have to take a break like darkshade did and go all zappa for a month!

 PROGREGALIA   - SHOWS NEAR YOU

Neal Morse Band & The Flower Kings
As an "INSIDE OUT MUSIC 20 YEARS ANNIVERSARY" 3 wise men - 3 Progressive Rock superstars; NEAL MORSE, ROINE STOLT  and MIKE PORTNOY  set out to take  their bands on a world tour together in selected cities in spring 2013, for a superior  evening of sunny, sincere, sinister, symphonic prog.
"Our promise to you is that you've never seen so many amps, cabinets, drums or keyboards on one single stage, one single night - for one single price."

The shows will consist of members of both bands guesting on each others’ tracks, with a Transatlantic-themed finale every night.  Louder, Longer and  Livier - and Lunier.

Roine: “We want to make it a very special tour – to revive a bit of the early spirit of rock & prog, when music was about jamming, friendship and fun and record labels actually understood enough to let musicians  have the freedom to spend millions on  capes - and concept albums about spacetravel, hobbits  and ancient history.       I can see lots of cool interaction that will culminate in a grand finale of Transatlantic music every night.”

This massive double bill  ( OK - 3iple bill) will offer an evening of some of the best, energetic and most vital overblown progressive rock on the planet since the heyday of Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, Bay City Rollers, The Wheel .........and sliced bread.    With 3 members of Transatlantic it is never far away to a cheerful Transatlantic mini reunion as finale, plus more guesting, jamming, surprises, dinosaurs in the cake - to make this tour very special and annoyingly entertaining, or even remotely shocking in it's proglicious indulgence.

PROGREGALIA will  lighten up even the darkest corner of your mind.
Bring all your friends to prog the bends.

Stardust we are.

"vital, overblown progressive rock"

roine mentions surprises. i bet pete shows up for the shows in the UK.

Where and when are the most important questions right now.

London (Electric Ballroom in Camden) on March 7th

Wolverhampton (Slade Rooms) on March 8th

These are the only UK gigs on the tour, but there's quite a few in mainland Europe beforehand.

I can't tell you how frustrating it is to hear about these TFK / Morse shows (with the TA encores)  that will be taking place thousands of miles from where I live Cry

I know that TFK are coming to the USA for sure in the late spring or early summer, but I have yet to hear if the TFK / Morse double bill will be.  I've never seen Morse (or TA), so I'm keeping my fingers crossed (though just seeing TFK will be great, of course).

yeah, i'm anxious to see any USA dates.  i bet there will be some dates with neal here.  what's he got to do?  i know that i'm going to go where ever TFK play on the ester side of the US.  it'd be cool if all of us in the US on this board could meet up.  Roland and infandous are in PA right?  i'm in atlanta.  i can't believe morse doesn't play here every tour given he lives in nashville.  oh well.

btw, i've been watching some of the live footage of Numbers on youtube.  pretty fun. there's one where roine absolutely forgets the lyrics.  the band seemed quite rusty and focused.  i'm sure they're loosened up by now.  having seen that live footage, i'm not completely sold on the new drummer.  he uses cymbals too much.

^ I only have 4 of TFK albums, Retropolis, Space Revolver, A Sum of No Evil, and Banks of Eden.  Of these 4, Banks of Eden is my favorite, For the Love of Gold is a sweet moment indeed.  I need to give the other albums more listens as it is been a while.

Thought I would chime in on this lively thread since I am not well versed on TFK and may figure out which album to try next.  Learned of them via the Neal Morse connection and Transatlantic a few years back.

Stardust We Are is a must.  Can't go wrong with any of the albums although i think Unfold the Future, Adam and Eve and Paradox Hotel are fairly dense.

Well I'm seeing The Flower Kings in a few weeks' time so I thought I'd better check out some of their stuff on Spotify. First up is Space Revolver, which I'm loving!

Darkshade!

Here's a clip of a track from the first Lalle Larrson album `Weaveworld' you can check out:

Sort of mix of Jonas' wonderful fluid bass, heavy guitars and classical/jazzy piano, see what you think!

I'm off to see Hawkwind tonight, the first time I've seen them in about 25 years.

Then coming up in the next month or two - Steve Wilson, Amplifier and hopefully TFK/Neal Morse too!!

I definitely would love to go, my main problem is the time I finish work.  How are you getting there and what time are you setting off?
