UQAM... it's you guys that had that suspicious package scare earlier this week?

What did you get a degree in?

Yeah that's us. I was evacuated on thursday. I was told there was a gunner somewhere in school who wasn't caught yet... Let's just say that got me nervous.

False alarm though.

Teaching English As A Second Language.

Wait... so Alex is 17... how old are the rest of you? You guys really did sneak up on here? Am I (again) the oldest one here?

So is english your first or second language?

I'm 21. I think I'm the oldest of the bunch except for you right now.

Scott wouldn't be too happy with that. LOL

Well, when I said "right now", I really meant right now. And he's not there. Wink

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

So where to the "about 30" crowd really go to to chat?

French is officially my first language, but English was all over the house when I was a kid, and my background is European, so yeah, I guess my English was good enough for me to teach ESL. My plan was actually to get a job I could do anywhere in the world, but I still haven't had the guts to get the heck out of here.

As for favourite lyricists... I guess, yeah, Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen (of course), Bob Dylan, Richard Thompson and Ian Anderson too, probably. I'm sure I'm forgetting someone.

They go here, just not right now apparently. The Shed is good if you're looking for the over 40s and feel the need to be very British.

So if people are mainly British there, they'd be in bed at that time of day, no?

I don't know about forgotten.

I'm feeling British folk, does that count for the Shed?

I'm expecting some Pentangle, Tudor Lodge, Steeleye Span and Trees albums in the mail any day now Smile

I don't think Scott minds that much as long as we don't post endless nonsense. Normal discussions like those going on right now don't do any harm.

I don't like posting nonsense too much anyways.

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

You are under 18, therefore you aren't an adult. I turn 19 in 15 more days, therefore I'm already an adult.Tongue
